On Dec 15, 2024, hundreds of university students gathered at Reignwood Mammoth Ski Resort in Changping district, Beijing. As the skiers swooped down with snow splashed and a Reignwood Star Bell505 helicopter flew over the snow field, the opening ceremony of 2024 War Horse University Ice and Snow Festival and the launch ceremony of the War Horse Ice and Snow season opens grandly.

The event was organized by Beijing University Sport Association and Beijing Skiing Association and was vigorously supported by Beijing Changping District Sport Bureau and Beijing Reignwood Cultural Foundation. The competition, teaching and entertainment areas were set up on the day of the activity. Such combination of professional events and entertainment experience enabled every student to fully enjoy the passion and fun of ice and snow sports.

The event is scheduled to be held at Nanshan Ski Resort from January 10 to 12, 2025, with the theme of "On the Snow, Youth on Fire".  The newly added youth competition has become a certified event of the world rookie tour. The  champion will be eligible to participate in the global finals in Austria. This undoubtedly provides a higher platform and international exchange opportunities for young skiers in the new era.

As the most historic snowboard competition in China, Nanshan Open keeps making innovations every year and is still full of vitality. This is in line with the brand image and concept of War Horse, which is young, trendy, passionate and innovative. The annual War Horse Snow and Ice Season follows the trend of young people and integrate popular activities into the process.

In January 2025, the War Horse parent-child competition will be held once again at the Mammoth Ski Resort of Reignwood Pine Valley. At that time, parents can enjoy skiing while take good care of their children.

In February 2025, "War Horse Off-Piste Skiing Carnival" is planned to be held in Hemu, Xinjiang. There will be more exciting online and offline interactions and unbound off-piste skiing atmosphere to fill your expectations for this snow season.
